High Sierra's

After a 16 year hiatus from climbing and skiing in the High Sierra's I finally had the opportunity to go back down and hang out for several days. My brother lives in Bishop, sometimes, and we managed to get some climbing in the Gorge and some excellent corn skiing up high near the Palisades and also the Rock creek drainage. There is some sweet granite up in those canyons and lots of historic routes up these mountains like, Mt Sill, The Palisades, and Mt Temple. We got to ski back up in these cirques on excellent corn snow with these quiet monoliths as our audience. SM
