A few of us managed to take advantage of the South side with clouds and light winds. Low cloudbase at 4000ft so a little low to leave on an xc excursion but it was fun cruising around at base anyway. Not used to the air being so thick, I was on 50-60% bar most the day, and would quietly hum to myself on the glides because it seemed so sluggish. I managed to cross over into the lee of Squak Mtn and then cruise in some zeros for a bit until I some some birds climbing further South of the peak and popped me back up to base. Climbs were about 3m/s. Nice and gentle. Febuary flying. SM
