Task 2. A wild one

62km task today with the usual Divis TP thrown in for good measure and one out in the flats, Diente, across the mesa to Mesa D and back to La Casa before goal in Ramon. About the same amount in goal today, so I heard. A few pilots under reserve, and some not so smooth lift. Big convergence, low base 10,000ft or so and strong lift. I hit 8.5 m/s on the averager. Results not in yet but Brad G. made it in 3rd to goal for the gringos, sweet. Otherwise, fun flying with everyone, lots of good pilots here. I put down on the way to Mesa D under shade after a wild flight. Racing in too fast given the conditions I was in until I hit Gordo then I shouldve slowed way down but didnt, put me on the ground early. Good lesson. Out. SM
