...and also the most violent convergent air I've been in. Lee side North winds putting gliders in trees along the course line. Broken lines and flapping gliders were the norm. The broken line thing put me on the ground after Well-RG. I had to land due to a broken stabilo line on the left side and a broken brake line on the right side. The thermic air was so strong I sawed through my lines just by braking the surges so hard. Not impressed with the task committee inertia and the organizers in this comp so far. Mainly this is due to the terrible weather and hard to call tasks the right way. The apres task clinics have been awesome though. With great talks on weather, comp flying and such have all been good. Yesterday we all had great flights after the task was called off at 3pm. We ended up flying the convergent lines in the valley for an hour or so.
