Ring around the Rosy

Light South west winds on launch today. Waited for a cycle (every ten minutes)to launch and then proceeded to the West face. Boosted up to the Towers from there. Climbs to 4000ft were the max. Vario was showing max's around 2.5 m/s up when it came. The sun broke out but the ceiling lowered to around 3500ft. Not quite high enough to feel comfortable going anywhere, especially with the lift few and far between. So it was a tour around the bowl and Tiger Mountain. Tried pushing out to the gravel pit a couple of times but no love or lift. It felt good to be in the air over Tiger, it was nice and gentle up there today. Especially, after desert flying the last couple of weeks.

I'm so jealous! What I'd give right now for just an hour boating around the local flying site. It's been raining for what seems like weeks here. Of course not enough real rain to really make the rivers rise either. Can't wait for spring. Sounds like both of you had a nice time at the Nationals. Congrats to Meredeth on Task 2.
