Golden B.C. Practice day.

Words do not express the shear beauty of Golden B.C. and the flying we had today was incredible. The site is nearly 4000ft above the valley floor. We didnt launch until 6pm. The winds were light in the early afternoon and then got too strong until 5:30 or so. Climbing to 12,oooft at 7 pm was cool. You could float all over the valley and some going down range and coming back. Tomorrow will be Task 1. It might be similar to today and not starting until late in the afternoon. This comp might be a little different where, normally, you wait until the thermals start to get good and strong. Here, on the other hand you have to wait until the winds back off enough to launch. More later as things unfold...SM
