Last day today, woke up a little lethargic from the long day before. Long wait on launch for some good cycles. First day no clouds, just blue and high pressure. Managed to get to the Penon and climb out then headed to the wall and found nothing. I managed to coast around the cliffs toward Espina and found a boomer. Started climbing out and drifting back towards Crazy thermal then headed to the Espina where I encountered a 70% assymetric collapse. The glider spun 180 degrees, but I weight-shifted hard and broke it, but then it surged hard and I broke it again then finally recovered. A wild one which made me alter my course back to the Penon since no one was getting up over the Mesa. Eventually, I was over launch low and saw Meredyth still trying to get out. It had been about an hour and a half that she was hanging out there trying to get up when I cam over to her. We managed to get out of there and head over the back but then I chose the round about line and she went direct and got it good again. Long story short, I managed to get pounded by the headwind coming from the lake and landed in the dust in a PLF configuration just short. Meredyth managed to slide in nicely to lake. Fun day. Too bad we are heading out but the Norwegins have arrived and it is a giant mass on launch. At least now we are warmed up for the Dominican Comp in Feb. See ya soon. Saludos. SM
