Santa Barbara Acro and XC

Down to SB for a week. We hung with the Eagle crew and got some towing in at Lake San Antonio for 3 perfect days. Brad Gunnuniscio was our acro/siv instructor for the weekend and he got everyone to go beyond what they thought they could do. Meredyth was full stalling and getting into SAT's with ease. I was working on my asymmetric wingover/spirals and throwing some helicopters down. It was a blast. The Eagle crew kicked butt with organization and efficiency for towing and accomodations on the lake. Andy Palmer was the boat/towing macdaddy and even cooked breakfast for us every morning. Rob Sporrer drove the boat, operated the winch, provided the grub and general fun and positive atmosphere, along with mentoring some of the other students. All in all it was a blast and the 4th and best towing/clinic I've ever done. We came back with giant grins on our faces.
We cant wait to hook up with them again and get some more tricks dialed.
The XC flying was ok in SB. We got to fly Skyport and Alternator a couple of days in mellow thermals and even got to do some mellow beach ridge soaring at More Mesa on the Pacific with our Seattle crew. All in all a great time. Now were ready for Spring conditions back home. Cheers, SM
